Social Republic is an umbrella organization. We are democratic in as much as any member can organise an event. We provide services to organisers so they can focus on their guests. Some do it for fun, others for profit. Some book restaurants, others operate at home. Some have a business while others are having a go. Either way, Social Republic is perfect for organisers for these reasons:

• There's no recruitment to do, or membership records to manage. We provide a pool of members.
• There's no need to commit to a schedule of events.
• We handle communications. So for example, we tell members about events, we remind the organiser if someone has applied, members can ask questions and we remind guests when an event is approaching.
• We handle payments. When a guest applies, they approve the ticket price. When selected for the guest list, the fee goes straight from guest to organiser via PayPal.
• For greater presence, or for existing businesses and supper clubs, organisers can brand their activity on our site.
• Organisers retain full control over their event, including the fees they charge per ticket and who they pick for their guest list.
• As mentioned, we publicise events to our pool of members, and we also provide the links for the organiser to do the same by all the usual methods such as email, Facebook and Twitter. Organisers can also print materials such as pre-formatted posters or fliers about their events.
